Leopard Tank. It was the replacement for the Centurion Tank which had given sterling service since 1952 including four years on active service in South Vietnam. The VK 1602 Leopard was a planned German light reconnaissance vehicle designed from mid-1941 through to January 1943 with serial production scheduled for April 1943.

In 2016 the program was in the concept phase which was projected to be completed by 2017. In 1977 the Leopard AS 1 Main Battle Tank entered service with the Royal Australian Armoured Corps. Leopard 2 bought by Turkey to fight British-backed Kurds.
